How secure is the personal info I input about myself?

 Although we are a small shop, we paid for top security.  Being spy enthusiasts, we are naturally overly paranoid which in this case is good for YOU.

We paid for the premium editions of the state of the art Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. I use the same SSL certificates that the biggest companies such Microsoft, TV Guide, and Nissan to name a few use.  This is not cheap but I hope it gives YOU peace of mind.

We use secure payment gateways.  This means even if we wanted to, we can't see your credit card number and we prefer to keep it that way.  We have enough top secret information we are trying to remember where we put.  If we have a return or some other transaction that requires some sort of human intervention, all we will see is the last 4 digits of your credit card number and we only use that for verifying and confirming YOU are YOU and not a double agent posing as YOU.

We won't share your name and address or email with anyone.  We don't want to get infilitrated ourselves so we don't want any promotional partners that we have to manage their security practices.

If you are a registered user, please don't allow unauthorized access to your personal info, to your password, or to your computer.  YOU gNeek standard agent directive:  Sign off when you are leaving our site, especially if you are on a shared computer. 

Is the data you collect safe and secure?

We upgraded to the biggest ecommerce platform just for this reason.  From their site:  "Yes. The security and up-time of your store is our #1 priority. We protect your store and data with the same military-grade security and encryption that the big banks use, and we have a 99.99% average uptime track record."

What information can you track about me?

We can see your name and email address if you have entered it.  If you have sent us an order we can see your shipping address, phone number, and your order and the last 4 digits of your credit card. 

Through common tracking that can be found on all websites, we can also see generally where most of our visitors link to us from, what search words got YOU here, and how long customers stay on our page.  We cannot however see how cool and geeky YOU really are.  This you will have to prove to us personaly.
