After selling out quickly 2 years ago, this popular item is now back in stock!
This is a tiny (approximately 1 1/4 inch) replica of a vintage pen that I have designed to make it a REAL Working fountain pen with a REAL Working Fountain Pen Nib. It can only work as a dip pen and it doesn't exactly write as well as your $100 fountain pen but it is the smallest on earth with a real nib. The recognized claim for the world's smallest fountain pen is an ultra miniature pen made by Waterman in the early 1900's. It measured 39mm or 1.54 inches and went for $6,000. My pen is 30% smaller! It measures less than 30 mm or 1.19 inches by 0.38 inch wide without the silver bail.
I have also made a tiny ink bottle out of a mini glass vial (7/8" x 3/8" without stopper) and put real ink inside. You can use it as an inkwell too just dip and write. You can fill the belly of the pen with ink (it can open up) but I can't seem to make a capsule or bulb that can hold enough force to make the ink automatically flow to the tip as in a traditional fountain pen because of the size. The inkwell has a loop so you can also wear it on your chain (make sure the stopper is on). Now you can have it with you whenever the mood strikes you to write a poem. It comes with an 18" 0.8mm silver-plated brass chain but you can choose to upgrade to a sterling silver chain if desired.
Comes with black ink which conforms to ASTM D-4236. You can also use standard fountain pen ink.
** Warning: this is NOT a toy. It has a very sharp standard nib and will poke an eye out. Also I really would not recommend wearing the ink if you have a toddler. Not only can (s)he yank it out of the stopper while you are wearing it and get ink all down your blouse, (s)he can also swallow the whole ink bottle!
